How Per Diem Attorney Services Work
When two matters land on the same calendar, you need someone reliable to cover the appearance and report back cleanly. Here is exactly how our per diem coverage works, from your first request to the report that hits your inbox after court.
Four Steps, No Surprises
A per diem appearance should take work off your plate, not add to it. Our process is built to be predictable: you send the details, we confirm, we appear, and you get a clear report. Click through each step to see exactly what happens and what we need from you.
You Request Coverage
Reach out by phone or email to check availability. Sooner is better, but we take same-day requests when the calendar allows. To lock it in fast, send us the essentials:
- Court location and appearance time
- Case caption and index number
- Type of appearance: motion, conference, hearing
- Any specific instructions or positions to hold
We Confirm Availability and Rate
Once we have your details, we confirm we can cover it and quote the rate up front. No back-and-forth, no vague estimates. You know the appearance is handled and what it costs before anyone steps into court, so there is nothing to chase down later.
- Fast confirmation on availability
- Flat rate stated up front
- Recurring dates scheduled in advance
- Clear point of contact throughout
We Appear on Your Behalf
Our attorney appears in Supreme, District, or Surrogate's Court as instructed, on time and prepared. Your client is represented with the professionalism they would expect from your own office, and the matter is handled exactly the way you laid it out.
- On-time, prepared appearance
- Handled per your instructions
- Supreme, District, or Surrogate's Court
- Your client represented professionally
You Get a Clear Report
After court, you receive a straight report on what happened: the outcome, any new dates, and anything the judge or opposing counsel raised. You can update your client and move the file forward the same day, with no gaps in the record.
- Outcome of the appearance
- Any adjourned or new dates
- Notes on what was raised in court
- Delivered promptly, same day when possible
Courts We Appear In
Our primary coverage runs through the Suffolk and Nassau County court system. We appear across the trial-level courts most per diem requests involve.
Supreme Court
Motions, conferences, and appearances in New York Supreme Court, including the dedicated Supreme Court coverage attorneys request most.
District Court
Coverage for District Court calendars in Suffolk and Nassau County, handled on time and reported back the same day.
Surrogate's Court
Appearances in Surrogate's Court for estate and probate matters, an area our own practice works in daily.
Coverage You Don't Have to Worry About
A Practicing Firm, Not a Filler
Your appearance is covered by attorneys from a working Long Island practice, not a name on a per diem roster. We understand the courts because we are in them.
Reporting You Can Act On
You are never left guessing what happened in court. The post-appearance report is clear enough to update your client and move the file the same day.
Reliability Under Deadline
A missed appearance is a real risk to your matter and your client. We treat your calendar like our own and show up prepared, every time.

Per Diem Services FAQ
How do I know if you are available for my court date?
Call 631-964-4418 or email with the date, court, and appearance type, and we confirm quickly so you can plan with confidence. The sooner you reach out the better, but we do take same-day requests when the calendar allows.
Can I book coverage for recurring court appearances?
Yes. If you know your calendar, we can schedule multiple appearances in advance so the dates are locked and you are not requesting coverage one matter at a time. Many firms set these up in a single call.
Do you cover courts outside Suffolk and Nassau Counties?
Our primary coverage is the Suffolk and Nassau County courts, where we appear regularly. For matters in other New York courts, reach out and we will discuss it case by case rather than turn you away automatically.
What happens if my case is adjourned?
We report the new date to you right away as part of the post-appearance report, so nothing falls through the cracks. You can then decide whether to schedule coverage again for the adjourned date or handle it yourself.
How and when do I get the rate?
We quote the rate up front, at the confirmation step, before anyone appears in court. It is a flat, clear number communicated with your confirmation, so there are no surprise charges after the fact. You can also review our availability and rates page.
Have an Appearance You Need Covered?
Send us the court, date, and matter, and we will confirm availability and the rate. Same-day requests welcome when the calendar allows.
